Ersilia is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer – Product Owner to join our energy tech team in Ghent, Belgium, with hybrid work and HQ presence. You will seamlessly blend software engineering with product management, engaging directly with customers to deliver impactful features and robust data integrations.

You will own end-to-end delivery, drive architectural decisions, and apply AI-enabled approaches to accelerate shipping while maintaining high standards.

Qualifications

• Full Stack Technical Depth: Strong software engineering foundation with expertise in modern web stack architectures (Python, TypeScript, SQL).
• Product Mindset: Own outcomes, interrogate requirements, prioritize scope, and solve real customer problems.
• AI Tooling Savvy: Hands-on experience using AI-assisted coding tools with sound technical judgment.
• Energy Domain (Preferred): Interest or experience in cleantech, utility systems, or distributed energy networks.
• Base Requirement: Based in Europe with ability to work regularly from Ghent HQ.

Full Stack Software Engineer – Product Owner (Energy Tech)

About the Business

A venture-backed Energy Tech scale-up building a unified software platform that connects distributed energy resources (solar, batteries, heat pumps, EVs) directly to the grid. By orchestrating local clean energy assets into a single source of truth, the platform cuts energy costs, stabilizes grid infrastructure, and accelerates the European energy transition.

The Role

This is an end-to-end, "T-shaped" software engineering role operating at the direct intersection of technical execution and product management. You won't just receive tickets—you will interface directly with customers, identify high-impact pain points, architect solutions, and leverage AI-first development practices to ship production-ready code fast.

What You'll Own

• End-to-End Product Delivery: Own the complete lifecycle from initial customer discovery through to architecture, implementation, deployment, and iteration.

• Customer Alignment: Act as a technical partner for key accounts, translating user needs directly into elegant, automated product features.

• AI-Leveraged Engineering: Direct AI and agentic tools to streamline repetitive work and maximize shipping speed while maintaining high standards for code quality.

• Critical Systems Infrastructure: Build and maintain resilient, real-time data integrations and API architectures where correctness, reliability, and high uptime are non-negotiable.

Key Requirements

• Full Stack Technical Depth: Strong software engineering foundation with expertise in modern web stack architectures (house stacks include Python, TypeScript, and SQL, though strong transferable skills in similar languages are welcome).

• Product Mindset: Proven track record of owning outcomes rather than just output—able to interrogate requirements, ruthlessly prioritize scope, and solve real customer problems.

• AI Tooling Savvy: Hands-on experience using AI-assisted coding tools with the technical judgment to evaluate, refine, and trust the output.

• Energy Domain (Preferred): Experience or a strong interest in cleantech, utility systems, or distributed energy networks.

• Base Requirement: Based in Europe with the ability to work regularly from the Ghent HQ.
