We are seeking an Automation Engineer to help us further building the future of food. You will be based in Belgium and report to the Automation Manager. In your role as Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining a high level of automation standards, play a part in projects and support the technical teams to keep the factories running.

Responsibilities

• Work together to design and implement technical projects as project manager, project leader or as member of a project team.
• Be responsible for automation and electrical related works.
• Ensure that our factories are up to date from an automation and electrical perspective.
• Provide information to start/prepare business cases for projects.
• Initiate, lead and participate in engineering projects to streamline production facilities as well as improve work environment and product quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Engineering or equivalent knowledge based on work experience (Electromechanics, Automation, …).
• Strong analytical skills and mindset.
• Team player with a positive and energetic can‑do attitude.
• Capability for building partnerships and ability to work independently.
• Experience working in fast‑moving environments and handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Fluent in Dutch and English; knowledge of French is a plus.
• Not afraid to travel to different facilities.
• Willing to participate in on‑call duty.
• Hands‑on approach.
