Job summary

Cytiva in Brussels is seeking a Government Affairs Director to shape sustainability, chemicals and product policy across the region. You will coordinate cross-functional teams and provide strategic insight to senior leaders on regulatory risks and opportunities.

This remote role, based in Brussels, offers exposure to multinational stakeholders and the chance to help Cytiva navigate global policy changes while advancing life sciences in Europe.

Qualifications

• Long-standing experience in life sciences government affairs, public policy, regulatory affairs, sustainability policy, chemicals policy, or a related field.
• Experience leading cross-functional governance involving Legal, Regulatory Affairs, Sustainability, Supply Chain, Commercial or other functions in a multinational matrix organization.
• Experience representing an organization through trade associations, industry coalitions, or regulatory engagements.
• Experience across Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific on policy, regulatory or government affairs issues.
• Experience supporting business responses to major regulatory or legislative changes with cross-functional governance and implementation planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead identification and assessment of emerging sustainability, chemicals and product-related policy developments, translating changes into business implications and strategic recommendations.
• Act as subject matter expert on priority policy issues, providing timely analysis to senior leaders on risks and opportunities.
• Establish and coordinate cross-functional teams to evaluate regulatory developments and ensure alignment across departments.
• Develop and support advocacy strategies with trade associations and industry coalitions to influence policy outcomes.
• Build relationships with regulators, policymakers and partner organizations to strengthen Cytiva's visibility on policy issues.
• Provide horizon scanning and early warning of regulatory, legislative and geopolitical developments affecting Cytiva.
