Job summary

GIZ is offering an internship within the MobiliseYourCity Partnership focused on urban mobility capacity-building across regions including Latin America, the Caribbean, Asia and Africa. As an intern you will support training development, event organization, and knowledge management while writing technical articles and contributing to external communications.

The role requires current study or recent graduation, fluency in German and English, and knowledge of sustainable urban mobility;

Qualifications

• Student or recent graduate within six months.
• Fluent in German and English; French and/or Spanish a plus.
• Knowledge of sustainable urban mobility, especially in Global South, is required.
• First relevant experience in international development cooperation, especially climate change and transport/urban mobility, preferred.
• Strong writing/editing skills; autonomy and teamwork; data usage.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing capacity-building activities (workshops, online courses, peer learning) for urban mobility practitioners and policymakers in Latin America, the Caribbean, Asia and Africa.
• Support planning, moderation of training series (virtual or in-person) with prep documents.
• Assist with events such as methodological guideline presentations and communities of practice.
• Assist with research and data collection on urban mobility topics in Latin America, Asia and Africa.
• Prepare and contribute to short technical articles, guidance docs, and presentations for external/internal communication; contribute to website/social content.
• Develop fact sheets, SUMP/NUMP summaries, and lessons learned documents.
• Support knowledge/network management and information exchange within team and external stakeholders.
• Facilitate working groups with knowledge partners, including organizing meetings and desk research.
