Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is seeking a Senior Principal Scientist to lead the Global Pathobiology Team within Preclinical Sciences and Translational Safety in Beerse, Belgium.

You will drive risk assessment, multidisciplinary integration, and decision-making across discovery and development with a focus on translational biology and regulatory science. A future-ready leader will coordinate cross-functional SMEs and shape safety narratives.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree required.
• PhD in Integrative Pathobiology or related discipline required.
• Board certification by the American, European, or equivalent College of Veterinary Pathologists with 5+ years experience in relevant fields.

Responsibilities

• Provide scientific input in design and conduct of toxicology experiments to assess human risk.
• Lead study pathologist activities and interpret tissues for nonclinical studies.
• Integrate pathology with biomarkers, NAMs, and translational data for decision-making.
• Advance digital pathology, AI, and data science applications while maintaining scientific rigor.
• Communicate translational relevance of in silico, in vitro, and in vivo data to stakeholders.
