Job summary

Forvis Mazars in Belgium offers an internship in the Global Mobility Services team based in Ghent. You will assist with international employment structures, Belgian tax and immigration tasks, and payroll documentation under guidance from senior consultants.

The role suits a Master's or Bachelor's student in law/economics/ taxation and requires fluency in Dutch or French and English. A hands-on, client-focused attitude and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Student in a Master's or Bachelor's program in Law, Economics, Taxation, Postgraduate in Tax, Business Management, Accountancy & Taxation or Business Administration.
• Fluent in Dutch or French and English.
• Client focused with a hands-on attitude.
• Highly motivated with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support research and preparation related to international employment structures and their implementation.
• Assist with personal income tax, social security, and immigration compliance tasks under supervision.
• Contribute to Belgian income tax returns (resident and non-resident) and payroll documentation.
• Help gather and analyze information on share-related compensation for payroll processing.
• Support analyses related to salary packages and the Belgian tax regime for inpatriates.
• Monitor updates in tax, social security, and immigration legislation and summarize developments.
• Collaborate with payroll and labour law teams by preparing background information and coordinating tasks.
