The EFTA Surveillance Authority in Brussels is recruiting an officer in the Food and Veterinary Unit to work as a veterinary auditor and desk officer in food and feed safety, animal health and welfare. The incumbent may assist with additional tasks within the unit as needed.

The successful candidate will plan and lead audits, act as desk officer, apply relevant EEA legislation, and cooperate with Icelandic and Norwegian authorities in an international context.

Qualifications

• Degree in veterinary science (DVM) or master's in veterinary science.
• Minimum 3 years' relevant professional experience in veterinary field or audits.
• Experience leading audit teams and drafting audit reports.

Responsabilités

• Plan, conduct and lead audits in food and feed safety, animal health and welfare.
• Act as desk officer; assess compliance and follow up with national authorities.
• Apply and interpret EEA legislation; propose actions for consistent implementation.
• Collaborate with team members during audits and engage with authorities internationally.
• Contribute to wider work of the IMA Directorate and international objectives.
