Job summary

TALEO Consulting Group Belgium seeks a seasoned Data & AI Engineer to design and build GenAI and agentic AI solutions, selecting and evaluating foundation models, and industrialising AI with CI/CD and IaC. You will craft evaluation frameworks and guide data scientists in LLM engineering.

Partner with Legal, Risk, Security and AI Governance to ensure GDPR and EU AI Act compliance. Fluent English required; Dutch or French a plus.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in computer science, AI, data science, engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years in software, data or ML engineering, including 2+ years delivering LLM / GenAI solutions to production.
• Strong Python; hands-on with LangChain, LlamaIndex or Hugging Face, RAG, vector search and agent orchestration.
• Experience with a major cloud AI stack (Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock or Vertex AI) and LLMOps tooling.
• Working knowledge of GDPR and the EU AI Act (a plus).
• Fluent in English, with Dutch or French.
• Team player; quick self-starter with a proactive attitude.
• Strong communication skills, able to explain technical trade-offs.
• Practical, solution-oriented mindset with attention to detail.
• Comfortable in a dynamic, multicultural environment

Responsibilities

• Design and build GenAI & Agentic AI solutions for prioritised business use cases.
• Select and evaluate foundation models on quality, latency, cost, data residency and licensing.
• Industrialise AI solutions with CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, containers and automated testing; monitor quality, drift and token cost in production.
• Build evaluation frameworks to measure accuracy, groundedness, safety and business impact.
• Apply guardrails, access controls and prompt-injection/data-leakage defences in line with security, GDPR and EU AI Act requirements.
• Partner with Legal, Risk, Security and AI Governance to classify use cases and document risks.
• Coach data scientists and engineers on LLM engineering best practices and contribute to reference architectures and reusable patterns.

Our client's Data & AI Office takes generative AI from pilot to production across four streams:

• GenAI & Agentic Solutions
• LLMOps & AI Platform

Your role:

• Design and build GenAI & Agentic AI solutions (Agentic Business Process, RAG assistants, tool-calling agents, document intelligence) for prioritised business use cases.
• Select and evaluate foundation models (commercial and open-weight) on quality, latency, cost, data residency and licensing.
• Industrialise AI solutions with CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, containers and automated testing, and monitor quality, drift and token cost in production.
• Build evaluation frameworks (test sets, LLM-as-judge, human review) to measure accuracy, groundedness, safety and business impact.
• Apply guardrails, access controls and prompt-injection and data-leakage defences in line with security, GDPR and EU AI Act requirements.
