Job summary

Imec, headquartered in Leuven, Belgium, seeks a GaN Power Integration Engineer to lead process flows for next‑gen GaN devices. You’ll drive from early concepts to manufacturable solutions, interact with partners, and contribute to multi‑discipline teams in epitaxial growth, metrology, and device design.

A PhD or Master’s with 3+ years in semiconductor processing is preferred, with strong English communication.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s degree in a relevant field, with industrial experience preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in semiconductor processing or integration.
• Strong knowledge of GaN HEMT processing is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Define process flows to enable new GaN device functionality.
• Work on GaN power technologies from concept to manufacturable solutions.
• Contribute to customer projects, improving process maturity.
• Collaborate with partners/customers to translate needs into development priorities.
• Coordinate with epitaxial growth, metrology, process development, device design and layout, and device characterization.
• Define and implement process flows and manage development with fabrication facilities.
• Process wafer test materials and analyse electrical performance data.
• Report progress to team leader, program manager, and customers.
• Operate from imec’s HQ at Leuven near Brussels.
