Job summary

Koda Tech is seeking a Functional Data / Technical Analyst for a long-term freelance assignment in Belgium. You will work across business, functional and technical domains to shape solutions in a complex IT environment.

In this role, you will collaborate with stakeholders, developers and IT teams to elicit requirements, design end-to-end solutions, and support them from delivery into operations. English is required; French or Dutch is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience as Business Analyst, Functional Analyst or Technical Analyst.
• Strong requirements elicitation and lifecycle management.
• Ability to create functional and technical designs for end-to-end solutions.
• Good understanding of databases, SQL and system integrations.
• Knowledge of IAM concepts, ideally within Azure environments.
• Solid understanding of project delivery methodologies and the Software Development Lifecycle.
• Experience supporting the transition from project delivery into operational support.
• Strong documentation skills, including requirements documents, solution designs, manuals and runbooks.
• Ability to work autonomously and bring structure to complex environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Functional Data / Technical Analyst (Freelance)

I'm currently looking for a Functional Data / Technical Analyst to join a major organisation in Belgium on a long-term freelance assignment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced analyst who enjoys working across business, functional and technical domains, helping shape solutions in a complex and evolving IT environment.

Location:

Belgium (hybrid working)

• Freelance assignment
• Initial contract until approximately Summer 2027
• Strong likelihood of extension

The Role:

As part of the Corporate IT team, you'll support multiple projects, taking ownership of analysis activities from requirements gathering through to solution design and transition into support.

You’ll work closely with business stakeholders, developers, infrastructure teams, database administrators and integration specialists to deliver robust and sustainable solutions.

What I'm Looking For:

• 5-10 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Analyst or Technical Analyst
