Vivid Resourcing Ltd is seeking a Founding AI Engineer to build and scale AI-powered solutions for an e-commerce platform. You will work closely with founders to develop LLM-based applications, AI agents, and automation tools to optimise product data management and commercial operations.

The role emphasizes ownership, end-to-end delivery, and shaping the technical direction, with a hybrid work model based in Mechelen.

Qualificações

• > 2–5 years of AI/ML or software engineering experience.
• > Strong Python programming and CS fundamentals.
• > Hands-on deployment of AI/ML in production.
• > Experience with LLMs, Generative AI, NLP, RAG, or AI agents.
• > Experience with structured/unstructured data, APIs, and cloud environments.

You'll be joining an e-commerce company as a Founding AI Engineer, building and scaling AI-powered solutions that transform online retail. Working closely with the founders, you'll develop LLM-powered applications, AI agents, and intelligent automation tools to optimise product data management and streamline commercial operations.

Responsibilities

• Build AI solutions end to end: Design, develop, deploy, and maintain production-ready AI applications for e-commerce.
• Develop generative AI applications: Build LLM-powered tools, RAG systems, NLP solutions, and intelligent agents.
• Automate commerce workflows: Apply AI to product information management, customer support, product discovery, and operational processes.
• Shape technical direction: Define the AI architecture, technology stack, and engineering best practices.
• Drive innovation: Identify opportunities to improve customer journeys, personalise shopping experiences, and optimise business performance.

Your Profile

• 2–5 years of experience in AI Engineering, Machine Learning, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong Python programming skills and software engineering fundamentals.
• Hands‑on experience deploying AI/ML solutions into production.
• Practical experience with LLMs, Generative AI, NLP, RAG, or AI agents.
• Experience working with structured and unstructured data, APIs, and cloud environments.
• An entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to take ownership in a fast‑paced environment.
