V2X is seeking a Food Service Laborer to support operations in a U.S. military dining environment. You will handle salad bar prep, fruit bar, serving line, and assist in other duties as required, contributing to a clean, safe galley and food service flow.

Responsibilities include proper food handling, portioning, dishwashing, inventory support, and adherence to Serve-Safe and OSHA guidelines. Previous food service experience and basic MS Office skills are desirable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of food service experience in a U.S. military environment.
• Must be computer literate and proficient in MS Office; must be able to read and speak English.

Responsabilités

• Handle the appropriate storage and handling of all food and supplies; follow food handling regulations.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary workspace in kitchen and dining areas.
• Ensure accurate meal portioning using correct serving utensils.
• Wash, sanitize pots, pans and utensils; keep dish area organized.
• Stock dish room with cleaning supplies; keep the dish return window clear.

Food Service Laborer performs various functions involving preparation of the salad bar, fruit bar, an serving line. P erforms other duties and assignments as required

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the appropriate handling and storage of all food and supplies; always follow regulations regarding the proper techniques for food handling
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workspace at all times in the kitchen and dining areas following established schedules, prescribed methods, and established standards
• Ensure accurate meal portioning utilizing correct serving utensils
• Collect, wash, and sanitize all pots, pans and utensils
• Stack clean flatware and trays on carts and deliver to appropriate production or distribution areas within Food Services
• Responsible for stocking dish room with chemical and cleaning supplies
• Keep Dish Return Window free of soiled trays
• Adhere to safety procedures in operating kitchen equipment
• Follow a prescribed cycle in emptying trash containers
• Assist in cleaning spills that are observed or requested
• Maintain assigned equipment for cleanliness and carry out repairs when needed
• Promote team work on a daily basis, communicate and report problems and concerns to the Manager
• Maintain a safe environment by following Serve-Safe standards
• Support supervisor in maintaining adequate inventory of food and supplies
• Apply proper care with table service and equipment, checking for breakage, etc. prior to storing them.
• Performs other duties and assignments as required

Qualifications

• MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma.
  • two (2) years of food service experience working in a U.S. military environment.
• Skills:
  • Must be computer literate and proficient in MS Office software.
  • Must be able to read and speak English.
• Working Environment: Work is generally conducted in an office or galley environment. Duties, however, may involve the conduct of work outdoors with potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions. May be required to work other than standard work hours to ensure effective customer support.
• Physical Activities: Work may require lifting up to 50 lbs., stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical dangers and chemical or hazardous agents. Must comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations and published work rules.
