MPL is seeking a hands-on Team Leader Food to guide a team of forwarders through daily operations and client relationships. You’ll divide tasks, solve challenges, and step in where needed, while collaborating with the Business Unit Manager to push growth.

Strong leadership, enthusiasm, and a passion for teamwork are essential. You should bring solid forwarding experience (import & export) and a track record of motivating teams.

Qualifications

• You have a bachelor’s degree or the kind of experience to match it.
• You have solid experience in forwarding (both import & export).
• Experience as a team lead in the maritime sector (food business)? That’s a big plus!
• You know how to build and motivate a team to work together toward a common goal.
• You live by the motto: nothing was ever achieved without enthusiasm.
• Communication is key. You’re fluent in both Dutch and English. Knowledge of any other languages is a plus.
• Problem solving is in your DNA.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Food team of forwarders daily.
• Solve challenges, assign tasks, and fill gaps as needed.
• Foster strong client relationships and service quality.
• Collaborate closely with the Business Unit Manager.
• Motivate and develop the team to reach shared goals.
• Drive digital-forwarder initiatives and process improvements.
