Demegroup is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to lead technical preparation for maintenance and repair activities across our fleet. You will coordinate projects to keep vessels safe, efficient and reliable, across a range of vessels and technologies.

Based at our Headquarters in Belgium with occasional travel to vessels and docking sites, this role emphasizes adaptability as you focus on electrical, mechanical, general construction, dredging or offshore systems related to vessel maintenance.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a technical engineering field (marine or industrial).
• Minimum of 3 years full-time professional experience in a similar role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to travel occasionally (HQ Belgium, 20% travel).

Responsabilités

• Prepare and address technical problems, including repair methods, budgeting, resourcing, and safety checks.
• Deliver fully prepared technical fiches/plans and documents ready for execution.
• Analyze recurring issues and propose technical improvements with the reliability team.
• Provide technical advice to procurement and support negotiations with subcontractors.
• Conduct on-site visits to ships for assessments and preparation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth operations.
