Job summary

Jan De Nul Group seeks an engineer for vessel maintenance to ensure high-tech vessels stay operational. You will travel to projects worldwide and manage the technical needs of a vessel, including supervising electricians and technicians on board.

Four weeks of training will start, followed by deployment to the project where you are most needed. You will not sit in an office: you supervise maintenance activities, coordinate with shipyards, and ensure safety, quality and environmental

Qualifications

• A master's degree in industrial sciences or in engineering sciences.
• Indispensable mindset of a solution seeker and a problem solver.
• Passion for everything technical.
• Ability to manage people.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate maintenance and repair activities on vessels.
• Lead technical staff on and around the vessel.
• Organise cooperation with shipyards and local contractors.
• Manage logistics for spare parts stocks.
• Check reports, repair lists and purchase orders.
• Monitor safety, quality and environmental impact.
