Mediahuis NL B.V. is seeking a FinOps Practitioner for their Cloud & Hosting team in Antwerp. This strategic role will focus on governance and financial accountability by establishing cost transparency across cloud environments and educating teams on FinOps practices.

The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of relevant experience in FinOps, alongside a strong understanding of AWS and Azure billing models. The position offers a hybrid work policy, requiring in-office work two days a week.

• 5+ years of experience in FinOps or IT financial management.
• Strong analytical skills paired with a pragmatic approach.
• Experience educating teams on FinOps principles.

Responsabilités

• Lead the implementation of showback for cost transparency.
• Ensure accurate and meaningful reporting.
• Run trainings and educate teams on FinOps concepts.

Connaissances

Proven experience in FinOps, cloud economics, or IT financial management

In-depth knowledge of AWS and Azure billing models

Ability to link architectural decisions to cost implications

Your role includes.

You’ll lead the implementation of showback, enforce cloud tagging standards, and translate data into actionable insights that influence architecture and behavior. Working closely with cloud architects and application teams, you’ll make sure reporting is accurate, meaningful, and drives the right decisions. This is a strategic role focused on governance and stakeholder engagement. You will lead discussions in the areas of governance, forecasting, optimization and cultural adoption end to end.

More specific:

• Establish cost transparency across AWS, Azure, GCP and private cloud environments.
• Define and maintain unit cost metrics, and deliver dashboards and reports for executives, finance, and solution owners.
• Build rolling forecasts and advise on contract and commitment decisions.
• Enable the culture: run trainings and educate teams on FinOps Foundation concepts. Effectively turning cloud cost management into a shared responsibility

• Experience with dashboards and reporting tools (Power BI, Excel).
• Preferred: FinOps Certified Practitioner and cloud certifications (AWS/Azure).
