Mediahuis is seeking a FinOps Practitioner for our Cloud & Hosting team in Antwerp. You will drive cost transparency, governance, and financial accountability across multi-cloud and private environments.

Lead showback implementation, tagging standards, and dashboards. You will work with cloud architects and application teams to translate data into decisions that optimize cloud spend and enable a culture of responsible cost management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in FinOps, cloud economics, or IT financial management.
• Fluency in Dutch is required for this role.
• Strong ability to turn data into actionable cost insights for governance and planning.
• Experience building dashboards and reports for executives and solution owners.

You’ll lead the implementation of showback, enforce cloud tagging standards, and translate data into actionable insights that influence architecture and behavior. Working closely with cloud architects and application teams, you’ll make sure reporting is accurate, meaningful, and drives the right decisions. This is a strategic role focused on governance and stakeholder engagement. You will lead discussions in the areas of governance, forecasting, optimization and cultural adoption end to end. More specific: Establish cost transparency across AWS, Azure, GCP and private cloud environments. Define and maintain unit cost metrics , and deliver dashboards and reports for executives, finance, and solution owners. Build rolling forecasts and advise on contract and commitment decisions. Enable the culture : run trainings and educate teams on FinOps Foundation concepts. Effectively turning cloud cost management into a shared responsibility What makes you a great fit? Hard skills: Proven experience in FinOps, cloud economics, or IT financial management (5+ years). In-depth knowledge of AWS and Azure billing models and tagging strategies. Ability to link architectural decisions to cost implications. Experience with dashboards and reporting tools (Power BI, Excel).
