Job summary

Maïa Archive in Brussels seeks a Product Development & Production Manager Assistant Trainee for at least 6 months from February 2027. You will work with the founders, liaise with clients, partners and suppliers, and contribute to shaping the studio’s growth.

You will support garment and accessory development, organize fittings, maintain technical files, and help with production tracking. English is essential; Italian is a plus. Grant-based remuneration applies.

Qualifications

• Own a Fashion Design title.
• Master student or recent graduate preferred.
• Strong interest in fashion product development, garment construction and production.
• Curious about materials, construction, manufacturing and logistics.
• Organised, rigorous, detail‑oriented; can manage multiple projects.
• Proactive, hands‑on, comfortable in a small team.
• Fluent English; Italian is a plus.
• Based in/around Brussels; able to work from the studio.

Responsibilities

• Support development of garments and accessories from concept to samples.
• Prepare fittings, sample prep, steaming, measurements and checks.
• Assist during fittings, take notes and follow up adjustments.
• Maintain technical information, specs and development files.
• Coordinate materials: fabrics, yarns, trims, labels and packaging.
• Support production trackers, order info and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate shipments with suppliers, manufacturers and clients.
• Keep studio and sample organization, records and databases up to date.
• Assist with day-to-day coordination of multiple projects.
