Job summary

Baobab Collection Inc. is seeking a Trade Marketing Intern to support the global marketing team from our Wavre offices.

You will assist in implementing the trade marketing strategy, conduct market research, and help develop tools for distributors and retail partners. You will collaborate with Marketing, Sales and Logistics to ensure cohesive campaigns, analyze performance, and prepare engaging presentations for internal meetings and partners.

Qualifications

• Student in marketing or related field.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint and Canva; Adobe Creative Suite.
• Fluent in English and French; Dutch a plus.
• Wavre location; access by car preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing the trade marketing strategy.
• Support international marketing strategies via market research, competitive analysis and benchmarking.
• Create sales and marketing tools (brochures, catalogs, POS materials, posters).

Key Responsibilities

As a Trade Marketing Intern, you will assist the Trade Marketing Specialist by contributing to the implementation of the trade marketing strategy.

Strategic Marketing

• Support the development of international marketing strategies through market research, competitive analysis and benchmarking.
• Contribute to the implementation of global marketing and trade marketing initiatives across key markets.
• Prepare compelling marketing presentations for internal meetings, distributors and retail partners.
• Assist in the analysis of campaign performance and provide recommendations for future activations.

Trade Marketing

• Assist in the creation and development of sales and marketing tools (brochures, catalogs, POS materials, posters, etc.).
• Provide day-to-day marketing support to the brand's agents, distributors, and retail partners.
• Coordinate POS (Point of Sale) material orders with suppliers and oversee their distribution.
• Assist in the development and implementation of merchandising and window display concepts across the brand's stores.
• Create and distribute newsletters to the sales teams, ensuring regular communication on product launches, campaigns, and trade marketing initiatives.
• Develop trade marketing assets for department store activations and retail campaigns in collaboration with internal teams.
• Support the continuous improvement and update of Visual Merchandising guidelines to ensure brand consistency across all markets.
• Support the continuous improvement and update of Training Books to ensure brand consistency across all markets.
• Assist in the coordination and execution of trade marketing campaigns with key retail partners.
• Monitor the implementation of in-store activations and provide feedback to optimize execution.
• Liaise with internal departments (Marketing, Sales, Retail, Creative and Logistics) to ensure smooth execution of trade marketing projects.

Budget

• Assist in monitoring and tracking the marketing budget.
• Support the follow-up of marketing expenses.
• Ensure accurate budget tracking and maintain up-to-date reporting tools.

Desired Profile

• Education: Student in marketing, communication, international business, project management, or a similar field.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in presentation tools (PowerPoint, Canva, etc.) and market analysis tools (benchmarking, insights research, competitive analysis) & Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Personal Qualities: Creative, meticulous, independent, proactive with a strong ability to manage different projects at the same time. Organisation is key.
• Languages: Proficiency in English and French (excellent spelling and grammar). Dutch is a plus.
• Sensitivity: Interest in fashion, luxury, or design.
• Additional: A car is preferred, as the offices are located in Wavre, around 15 km outside of Brussels
