Job description

About the job

There's a gap between a great design and a great garment and you're the one who closes it.

At Suspicious Antwerp, we build products people actually want to wear. Our design team is strong, but we need someone who can bridge the space between creative vision and production: someone who looks at a piece of garment, spots exactly why it isn't sitting right, and knows precisely how to communicate the fix to our factory.

You won't be making patterns but knowing how they work is non-negotiable.. It's a fit-thinking, problem-solving, factory-communicating role. While technical knowledge exists on the team, you'll be the one with the deepest expertise in-house, which means real ownership, real impact, and the independence to do things properly..

What you'll be doing
  • Analyse fit issues/pattern adjustments and translate them into clear, actionable corrections for our factories via annotated photos, schemas, and written instructions

  • Develop new product categories and improve existing ones

  • Manage and maintain tech packs across all products

  • Keep samples and production on schedule with the operational team

  • Source and assess materials, accessories, and prototypes against our quality and safety standards

  • Build strong relationships with manufacturers and textile partners

  • Prepare production plans on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis

What you bring
  • Solid technical background in garment construction. You understand fit and how to correct it

  • Ability to diagnose fit issues and communicate precise fixes to a remote factory

  • Experience adapting fits across genders

  • Strong command of garment and textile terminology in English (Dutch is a plus)

  • Familiarity with tech packs and production documentation

  • 3+ years in apparel product development or a closely related role

  • A feel for the Suspicious Antwerp brand

  • Willingness to be based in Antwerp, Belgium

Nice to Have, no dealbreaker ;)
  • Hands-on experience in pattern making or garment construction

  • An existing network in textile and accessories manufacturing

  • Experience working with manufacturers at a distance

  • Hands-on experience in fast fashion
