The College of Europe in Bruges is seeking a Facilities Director (100% FTE) to lead the Facilities Office, overseeing maintenance, renovations and long‑term development of the campus buildings and infrastructure.

Reporting to the Rector, you will manage the budget, coordinate contractors and ensure compliance with Belgian regulations, while promoting sustainable standards across Bruges and Tirana.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or related field.
• 7–10 years of facilities or property management experience.
• Strong knowledge of building systems and asset management.
• Knowledge of Belgian building regulations and sustainability.
• Excellent Dutch and English; French is a plus.
• Strong budgeting and financial skills.
• Proactive, service-oriented and collaborative.

Responsabilités

• Lead and manage the Facilities Office in Bruges and coordinate teams.
• Develop long-term infrastructure and asset management strategy.
• Plan preventive and corrective maintenance across buildings.
• Prepare technical specifications, project plans and cost estimates.
• Coordinate contractors and suppliers, ensuring quality and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with Belgian regulations and health & safety.
• Manage the Facilities Office budget and resource allocation.
• Promote harmonised facilities standards across Bruges and Tirana.
