Rwaves IT is seeking a skilled F5 Network & Security Engineer in Brussels, working in a hybrid model with up to three days remote. You will join the IP Networks team within the Datacom department to manage F5 BIG-IP deployments, load balancing, security features, and high-availability across datacenters and multi-site environments for an energy-sector client.

• Experience with F5 BIG-IP (LTM/GTM/ASM/APM) and iRules.
• Hands-on design and operation of datacenter networks.
• Knowledge of Check Point and Palo Alto firewalls.
• Ability to work in a Brussels hybrid environment.

Responsabilités

• Design load balancing and high-availability architectures.
• Design and implement F5 BIG-IP solutions for application delivery and network traffic management.
• Configure virtual servers, pools, nodes, monitors, iRules, SSL profiles, and traffic policies.
• Manage SSL/TLS certificates, SSL offloading, encryption configuration, traffic inspection, and reporting.
• Deploy and manage Web Application Firewall (AWAF) policies.
• Integrate authentication and access management using APM and enterprise identity services.
• Perform performance tuning, capacity planning, and service optimization.
• Provide incident, problem, and change management support.
• Lifecycle management of F5 infrastructure and software upgrades.
• Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting of application delivery, connectivity, and performance issues.
• Create documentation and facilitate knowledge transfer to stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and methodically with strong sense of responsibility.
• Accurate risk assessment capabilities.
• Customer-oriented with good stress management.

Mission Context

Join a key player in the energy sector as an F5 Network & Security Engineer. The F5 BIG-IP solution is an important central component within the datacenter infrastructure and is heavily used to implement application load balancing, high availability concepts, and security features.

You will work within the IP Networks team, part of the Datacom department, which manages the datacom transport network, IP/Ethernet/WiFi networks, security infrastructure (firewalls, DMZs, VPN concentrators, load balancers), and critical networks connecting high-voltage substations and data centres.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Design load balancing and high-availability architectures
• Design and implement F5 BIG-IP solutions for application delivery and network traffic management
• Configure and administer virtual servers, pools, nodes, monitors, iRules, SSL profiles, and traffic policies
• Manage SSL/TLS certificates, SSL offloading, encryption configuration, traffic inspection, and reporting
• Deploy and manage Web Application Firewall (AWAF) policies
• Integrate authentication and access management using APM and enterprise identity services
• Perform performance tuning, capacity planning, and service optimization

• Manage security patching, software upgrades, and lifecycle management of F5 infrastructure
