Methis Consulting is seeking a skilled data engineer analyst with 3–5 years of experience to join our team in Belgium. You will design, implement and optimize data architectures, ETL pipelines and unified data views to empower business insights.

You'll work with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, scalability and security, while contributing to the data platform and documentation. A master's degree and bilingual Dutch/French skills are required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in computer science, mathematics, or business economics.
• Native French or Dutch and fluent in the other language.
• Proven 3+ years as Data Engineer or similar role.
• Experience with Data Platform Management.
• Proficient in Python and SQL.
• Experience with Databricks, preferably on AWS.
• Knowledge of Agile processes (Scrum/Kanban).
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps & release pipelines.
• Knowledge of Salesforce or SAP a plus.
• Experience with data processing technologies.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced data engineer analyst with min 3 to 5 years experience to join our team.

Typical responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable data architectures, including databases, data lakes, and data warehouses in line with the existing tools and frameworks.
• Build and optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to move data from various sources to data repositories.
• Combine diverse data sources into cohesive, unified views (gold datasets) for analysis and reporting purposes.
• Ensure data consistency, accuracy, and quality throughout the data lifecycle.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, analysts, and software developers, to understand data requirements and deliver insight solutions
• Work closely with business data owners to ensure and continuously enhance the quality of data in the data platform
• Collaborate with various teams to ensure the scalability, security, and performance of data systems
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data processes, pipelines, and architectures
• Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., computer science, mathematics, business economics,)
• You are native French or Dutch and speak the other language - Must Have
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role - min 3 years
• Proven experience on Data Platform Management
• Effective experience in Databricks (preferably on AWS)
• Skills in Python and SQL
• Experience with data processing technologies
• Knowledge of Agile processes (scrum, Kanban)
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps & release Pipelines
• AWS certifications (Cloud Data Engineer) is a plus
• A first experience in utilities market is a plus but no requirement
• Knowledge of technical systems like Salesforce, SAP is a plus but no requirement
• Knowledge of Agile tools like Azure DevOps or Jira is a plus
