Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific in Belgium seeks an Executive Director/Vice President for the Medical Science and Strategy Team - Metabolic. You will lead strategic initiatives across clinical development and regulatory planning to advance assets from discovery through registration.

The role requires extensive metabolic expertise, global collaboration across the EM E A region, and willingness to travel internationally to meet clients and sites in Asia and beyond.

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent required for medical leadership in metabolic disorders.
• Certified in a medical specialty related to metabolic disorders with 5+ years in pharma.
• Proficient in spoken and written English and Mandarin.
• Active medical license preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic and measurable business outcomes in metabolic pharmaceutical development.
• Drive input into RFPs, development strategy, drug class and indication considerations.
• Mentor clinical scientists and guide multidisciplinary teams across regions.
• Engage with clients' senior leadership and oversee internal design of trial protocols.
