EY in Diegem, Belgium, seeks an Executive Director Immigration to lead our immigration practice and shape strategic direction for Belgium and global mobility services.

You will drive business development, oversee delivery transformation with digitalisation, coach the team, and collaborate with PAS peers to offer a one-stop service for multinational clients.

Flexible working arrangements apply, with offices in Antwerp, Ghent or Hasselt, and a strong focus on AI integration in immigration practice.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in law or economics.
• 10+ years advising multinationals on immigration.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with proven BD track record.
• Strong knowledge of Belgian, European and global immigration laws.
• Fluency in English and Dutch or French.

Our Immigration team advises multinational clients on immigration strategies and processes, compliance and risk management for their mobile talent.

To further drive the growth of our immigration practice in Belgium, we are looking for an Executive Director to lead our immigration team. While Diegem will be your main office, we offer flexible working arrangements, working from home or from our offices in Antwerp, Ghent or Hasselt.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Closely work together with PAS leadership to define the strategic priorities and design and execute the strategic roadmap for our immigration services.
• Create a leading proactive role in business development by spotting opportunities in the market (through your growing business network), driving project proposals and leading client discussions.
• Contribute to thought leadership, service innovation and EY’s market reputation in the immigration services domain.
• Oversee the transformation of our operational service delivery model, including adoption of emerging technologies and digitalisation.
• Play a pivotal role in building relationships with internal and external relevant stakeholders, going from our global immigration network to immigration authorities and policy makers.
• Act as a coach and mentor for our immigration team and empower managers and consultants to deliver exceptional client service.
• Work closely with peers and other teams within our PAS department (HR Legal, Tax, Payroll, HR outsourcing and Reward teams) to serve as a one stop shop for clients in the global mobility space.

Your Profile

• A Master’s degree, preferably in Law or Economics.
• At least 10+ years of experience in advising multinational organizations on immigration matters, and relevant leadership experience.
• An entrepreneurial mindset with a proven track record in business development.
• A strong knowledge of Belgian, European and global immigration legislation and practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Dutch or French.
• A people‑centric leader, strong communicator and motivator with an interest in working in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Strong affinity with AI and genuine interest in applying new AI trends in a professional context.
