Job summary

Vandemoortele is seeking a European Business Development Manager for Plant-Based Cheese to scout opportunities across Industry and Food Service channels. You will travel about 60% of the time, build partnerships, and translate market insights into profitable growth.

A master's in engineering or economics and 5+ years in B2B sales are ideal. You will collaborate with Strategy & Innovation, Marketing, and R&D teams to drive the Savri® plant-based cheese brand across Germany, France, UK, BeNeLux,

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering (Chemistry/Agriculture/Bio a strong plus) or Business Engineering or Economics.
• Minimum 5 years in B2B technical sales, ideally in cheese and/or ready meals.
• Experience in hunting new customers and exploring new markets.
• Entrepreneurial, driven, with a strong will to succeed.
• Pragmatic, problem-solving, and initiative-taker.
• Result-oriented with curiosity for new markets and segments.
• Flexible, proactive, and stress resistant.
• Team player with hands-on mentality and integrity.
• Willing to travel 60% of time; excellent interpersonal and written/verbal English; additional languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Explore the European plant-based cheese market and identify opportunities across Industry and Food Service.
• Hunt for new customers and understand their needs, translating opportunities into long-term partnerships and profitable sales.
• Define customer needs by visiting existing and potential customers; develop fitting product solutions with R&D.
• Identify market trends to feed future innovation.
• Negotiate contracts and grow sales; co-responsible for Plant-Based Cheese P&L.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Commercial Directors, R&D and local teams.
