Job summary

The ESA Brussels office is seeking an intern to support the EBO Team in monitoring EU discussions, preparing briefings and policy materials, and following regulatory files related to space activities.

You will gain experience in a dynamic, international environment, engaging with multiple EU institutions and stakeholders, and learning how space policy and governance are developed in practice.

Qualifications

• Must be a university student in the final or penultimate year of Master’s studies.
• Must be enrolled at the university for the entire duration of the internship.
• Knowledge of EU institutions and/or space policy is an asset.
• Working languages are English and French; good knowledge of one is required.
• Interest in European space sector and governance.

Responsibilities

• Support the EBO Team with monitoring discussions and policy initiatives within European institutions.
• Assist in preparing briefings, reports, presentations and background material on institutional relations with European institutions.
• Contribute to follow-up of legal and regulatory files and assess potential impact on space activities.
• Participate in meetings, conferences and events, prepare summaries and follow-up actions.
• Collaborate with experts to understand how policy and governance support the European space sector.
