IOM, the International Organization for Migration, Brussels, seeks a Finance and EU Compliance professional to provide technical assistance on budgeting, reporting, and EU compliance for EU-funded projects. You will review budgets, monitor funding, and support audits across regional and country offices.

Responsibilities include maintaining financial data, ensuring donor compliance, and delivering training on EU regulations as required by IOM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Alternative: high school diploma with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 1 year experience with EU funding instruments and reporting of EU funded projects.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication; strong Excel skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide technical assistance to IOM COs/ROs on EU funding financial and administrative topics to ensure donor requirements are met.
• Review budgets and financial reports for EU projects to ensure compliance with donor requirements.
• Monitor budget consumption of EU-funded projects and alert on unusual trends.
• Maintain EU-funded project databases with financial data for tracking and risk assessment.
• Support external verification/audit exercises and assist in preparing audit responses.
