Virya Energy is seeking an Environment coordinator to develop and implement the environmental strategy across Belgium units, including Hydrogen, DATS 24, Grid Solutions and Commercial & Industrial Solutions. You will combine hands-on delivery with a focus on compliance, risk management and sustainability.

You will support project teams, drive improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to environmental regulations.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences or related field.
Certified Environmental Coordinator Level A, or willingness to obtain.
3–5 years of relevant experience in environmental management, permitting, compliance or environmental consulting.
Strong knowledge of environmental legislation and regulatory reporting.

Responsabilités

Develop, implement and monitor environmental policies, procedures and improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with environmental legislation, permit conditions and reporting obligations.
Coordinate environmental permit applications, registrations and interactions with regulatory authorities.
Organize and support environmental audits, inspections and compliance assessments.
Monitor environmental performance, risks and legal compliance across sites.
Investigate environmental incidents and drive corrective actions.
Identify opportunities to reduce environmental impact and improve sustainability performance.
Raise environmental awareness and promote environmental responsibility.
