Job summary

ERM Belgium is looking for a Managing Consultant to join our Environmental & EHS team in Belgium, with a hybrid work policy. You will work with industrial clients to translate regulatory requirements into practical solutions, manage EHS risks and oversee permitting and impact assessments.

You will become part of a dynamic, collaborative team where you can grow your technical, consulting and client-facing skills.

Qualifications

• A degree in environmental science, engineering, EHS, safety or another relevant technical discipline.
• Relevant professional experience in environmental, EHS or related consulting, industry, engineering or regulatory environment.
• Familiarity with Belgian/Flemish environmental legislation, environmental permitting and EHS is valued.

Responsibilities

• Deliver environmental, permitting, impact assessment and/or EHS projects for clients.
• Advise clients on environmental and EHS legislation and compliance.
• Support environmental permitting projects in Flanders, coordinating permit applications.
• Contribute to environmental impact assessments (MER/m.e.r.) and collaborate with specialists.
• Identify and manage environmental and EHS risks associated with operations.
• Prepare clear, high-quality reports and client deliverables.
• Manage project activities and progressively take ownership of larger assignments.
• Build relationships with clients and collaborate with ERM colleagues.
• Share knowledge with more junior colleagues.
