Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Datacenter Migration Lead to drive a large-scale migration and datacenter exit for a Belgian bank. You will partner with client executives, architects and delivery teams to own end-to-end migration delivery from discovery through sign-off.

The role requires extensive infra leadership, regulatory awareness and strong stakeholder management. Hybrid work with 2–3 days onsite near Brussels and occasional travel across Belgium/Benelux.

Qualifications

• Extensive IT infra experience with end-to-end datacenter migration leadership.
• Experience migrating 1,000+ workloads with planning, cutover and stabilization.
• Strong knowledge of datacenter tech: compute, virtualization, storage, networking, DR, middleware.
• Hands-on migration tools: VMware HCX, Zerto, Azure/AWS migration services.
• Proven client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with core banking/financial sectors in Belgium/EU.
• Working knowledge of Belgian/EU regulatory landscape (DORA, EBA ICT risk, NBB/ECB).
• English fluency; eligible to work in Belgium.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end datacenter migration programs, including discovery, dependency mapping, migration strategy, wave planning, execution, stabilization and datacenter exit.
• Own migration runbooks, cutover and rollback plans, go/no-go criteria and post-migration validation, coordinating multiple teams.
• Act as trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, managing governance, risks, schedules, budgets, escalations and change control.
• Coordinate Cognizant architects and technical specialists across cloud, network, security, database, mainframe and application modernization.
• Establish scalable migration factory practices and reusable assets to improve delivery quality and efficiency.
