Iron Systems, Inc is seeking a senior infrastructure professional to act as Tier 3 escalation authority for endpoint, VDI, and infrastructure issues. Lead stakeholder management and technical delivery for infrastructure projects, architect global endpoint standards, and drive automated deployment and remediation strategies.

You will oversee GPO design, VDI optimization, and cross-team mentoring while coordinating with security and IT operations.

Qualifications

• Proficient in PowerShell for automating admin tasks and application packaging.
• Ability to manage license utilization and optimize global IT costs.
• Provide knowledge transfer and advanced training to L1/L2 engineering teams.

Responsabilités

• Architect enterprise endpoint strategy: define global image and configuration standards for laptops, desktops, and end-user devices.
• Design and govern GPOs for security compliance and optimized user environments.
• Lead the administration and optimization of VMware/Citrix VDI infrastructures.
• Direct strategy for application packaging and deployment using SCCM with zero-touch installation and automated patching.
• Oversee health and capacity planning of file servers and license servers to ensure high availability.
• Analyze hardware health and performance trends using tools like Nexthink to preempt issues.
• Develop PowerShell/VBScript remediation scripts for automated troubleshooting and self-healing of devices.
• Act as primary technical liaison for business groups to gather requirements for new onboarding and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Enterprise Endpoint Strategy: Architect the global image and configuration standards for Laptops, Desktops, and other end-user devices.
• Advanced GPO & Directory Services: Design and govern Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to ensure security compliance and optimized user environments.
• VDI Infrastructure Engineering: Lead the administration and optimization of VMware environments specifically supporting Citrix VDI infrastructure.
• Automated Application Lifecycle: Direct the strategy for application packaging and deployment using SCCM, focusing on zero-touch installation and automated patch management.
• Infrastructure Management: Oversee the health and capacity planning of file servers and license servers, ensuring 24x7 availability.
• DEX & Performance Monitoring: Utilize tools like Nexthink or similar to analyze hardware health and application performance trends to preemptively resolve systemic hardware/software issues.
• Service Improvement: Design remediation scripts (PowerShell/VBScript) for automated troubleshooting and "self-healing" of user devices.
• Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary technical liaison for business groups to gather requirements for new application on-boarding and project-specific infrastructure needs.

• Virtualization: VMware vCenter/ESXi and Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops.

• RCAs & Problem Management: Root cause analysis reports for high-impact infrastructure or VDI outages.
