Just Eat Takeaway.Com is seeking a mid-level Employee Relations professional to provide timely, accurate support on performance management, disciplinary matters, and policy adherence within the Belgium context.

You will work in a global People Services team, collaborating with legal and HR Business Partners to address Tier 2 tasks and escalate Tier 3 issues where needed. Hybrid work in Brussels is offered.

Qualifications

• Post secondary education in Human Resources, Psychology, or similar.
• At least 1 year of specialised focus on Employee Relations.
• Experience managing internal investigations and maintaining high-quality Employee Relations content.
• Experience guiding managers on employment-related actions.
• Fluent English; business-level in French or Dutch.

About this role:

As a member of the Employee Relations Team, you will provide high-quality, efficient, and timely service to all stakeholders on employee relation matters, including performance management, disciplinary matters, accommodations, dispute resolution, whistleblowing investigations, sickness management, and return to work coordination while ensuring the execution and enforcement of fair and consistent application of workplace policies and processes.

You will manage and foster positive relationships between employees and the organisation, mediate disputes, conduct investigations, and guide both employees and management. Working within a global team, you will gain valuable international exposure while focusing on the Belgium context at first, with opportunities to support additional countries later on. Ensuring compliance with labour laws and company policies, you will contribute to a fair, consistent, and harmonious work environment.

These are some of the key ingredients to the role:

• Apply employment standards and labour laws for legal compliance ensuring accurate validation of country specific regulations
• Responding to employee inquiries through the People Service Portal (JIRA system) and other channels, identifying needs, and escalating issues, as the needs arise.
• Maintaining a strong commitment to our service level agreements (SLAs) around responsiveness and employee satisfaction.
• Maintain quality standards of content and information as it relates to Employee Relations guidelines, policies, and procedures
• Manage internal People policies and update policies to reflect localisation requirements
• Internal investigations for local cases and whistleblower cases
• Establish meaningful relationships and communication within the People Services teams and between teams across departments assigned
• Collaborating closely with the legal teams to validate and elevate cases when appropriate
• Collaborate with HR Business Partners to provide comprehensive employee support, handling Tier 2 tasks, while directing Tier 3 issues to HRBPs for effective resolution.
• Guide and coach managers (with different levels) on disciplinary and non-disciplinary actions, terminations, and employment standards;
  support with documentation and best practices
• Familiarity with social negotiation bodies context.
• Develop business acumen for departmental support

What will you bring to the table?

• Post secondary education in Human Resources, Psychology, or similar.
• We are looking for a mid-level professional with HR experience, including at least 1 year of specialised focus on Employee Relations.
• Experience managing internal investigations & demonstrated ability to maintain high-quality content for Employee Relations guidelines and policies.
• Experience in guiding managers on employment-related actions.
• Effective collaboration skills with People Services teams for case validation and escalation management.
• Partnership capabilities with Works Councils and on employee-related matters and escalations would be a strong plus.
• Attention to detail in ensuring consistency and accuracy of information in HR Systems
• Languages: business level in either French or Dutch, fluent English.
• Proven ability to research and apply employment standards and labour laws.
