Kineton is seeking an Embedded SW Validation Engineer to join our expert team in Sint-Truiden. You will develop automated tests for hybrid powertrain products to improve safety, performance and efficiency.

This role focuses on defining verification plans, executing tests, and reporting results to drive product validation. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in embedded software verification for automotive applications, strong skills in Python, C, and C++, and hands-on HiL/SiL testing experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in embedded software verification, preferably in automotive applications.
• Proficiency in Python, C, and C++ for test automation and embedded software analysis.
• Knowledge of automotive test tools (Vector, dSpace) is a must.
• Hands‑on experience with HiL/SiL testing methodologies.
• Experience working on MCU (e‑Motor Control Unit) SW testing.
• Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN, XCP, UDS).
• Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
• Good written and spoken English.

We are looking for a Embedded SW Validation Engineer to join our team of experts, responsible for developing automated tests for our hybrid powertrain products to enhance safety, performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the definition and execution of the design verification plan covering product validation.
• Analyze, document, and report the results of the tests.
• Convert abstract test requests into detailed test procedures.
• Support the maintenance and debugging of test setups.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in embedded software verification, preferably in automotive applications.
• Proficiency in Python, C, and C++ for test automation and embedded software analysis.

• Experience working on MCU (e‑Motor Control Unit) SW testing is considered a plus.
