IBA in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium, is seeking a Test Engineer for Embedded Electronic Systems in medical devices. You will define end-to-end test strategies ensuring functional safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include system analysis, test strategy development, and automation using Python and pytest. Collaboration with hardware, firmware, and quality teams is essential to meet ISO 13485 and IEC 60601 requirements.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems, or related field.
• Solid understanding of embedded electronics for regulated systems and interfaces.
• Hands-on experience with communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet).
• Proficient in test bench development and automation using Python or LabVIEW.

Responsabilités

• System Analysis: derive test strategies from architecture and requirements.
• Test Strategy Development: plan unit, integration, and system validations with traceability.
• Test Framework Architecture: develop pytest-based test infrastructure and hardware interfaces.
• Automation & Execution: create automated scripts for functional, performance, and regression testing.
• Issue Analysis & Reporting: run campaigns, analyze results, and support root cause analysis.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: work with hardware, firmware, FPGA, and quality teams to meet regulatory requirements.
