IBA in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium, is hiring a Test Engineer for embedded electronic systems in medical devices. You will define and implement end-to-end test strategies to ensure functional safety, regulatory compliance, and device reliability that integrates embedded software, FPGAs, and custom electronics.

You will build a pytest-based test framework, develop unit/integration/system tests, automate validation, and collaborate with hardware, firmware, FPGA and QA teams to meet ISO 13485 and IEC

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, or Embedded Systems.
• Experience with embedded electronics for regulated systems.
• Hands-on experience with SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet.
• Proficient in Python or LabVIEW for test automation.
• Experience with measurement instruments and debugging techniques.
• Familiarity with Git and CI tools.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of ISO 14971, medical device risk management.

Responsabilités

• Define and implement end-to-end test strategies for embedded medical devices.
• Develop test plans for unit, integration, and system validation.
• Create a pytest-based test framework and automation tools.
• Design automated test scripts for functional validation and regression testing.
• Analyze results, report anomalies, and support root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, FPGA, and QA teams to meet regulatory and risk requirements.
