Taleo Consulting is seeking an Electronics Engineer in Belgium to contribute to the development and verification of medical electronic systems, integrating embedded software, FPGAs, and custom electronics.

The role focuses on designing boards, performing lab verifications, and ensuring functional testing across analog/digital interfaces while collaborating with FPGA and software teams. Strong documentation and DFM/DT testing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Electronics or related field.
• Experience with Altium Designer for schematic and PCB design.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, thermal cameras, soldering tools).
• Experience in electronics debugging and verification.
• Good understanding of embedded electronics, microcontrollers, FPGAs and interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Design electronic boards, including component selection, schematics, PCB design and production preparation.
• Perform electronics verification testing in a laboratory environment.
• Test signal integrity, power integrity, timing, temperature and digital interfaces.
• Debug hardware issues and identify effective technical solutions.
• Prepare design documentation and formal test reports.
• Collaborate closely with FPGA and Embedded Software teams on testing and debugging.
• Apply Design-for-Manufacturing and Design-for-Testing principles.

Required Expertise

• Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Electronics or related field.
• Experience with Altium Designer for schematic and PCB design.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment: oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, thermal cameras and soldering tools.
• Experience in electronics debugging and verification.
• Good understanding of embedded electronics, microcontrollers, FPGAs and analog/digital interfaces.
• Basic knowledge of EMC, safety and reliability in electronics design.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.

Nice to Have

• Experience developing or testing industrial or medical products.
• 4+ layer PCB design and high-speed transmission lines.
• Experience with SPI, I2C, UART, RMII, SGMII or similar interfaces.
• Experience with on-board DC-DC converters.
• Knowledge of signal integrity and power integrity testing.
• Experience with electronics safety, EMC and reliability.
