Syngenia seeks an experienced site supervisor for substations and energy projects in Belgium. You will manage daily work programmes, supervise on-site teams, and ensure safe, compliant execution according to RAMS and client requirements.

You will coordinate resources, monitor deliveries, and maintain documentation including drawings, ITPs and reports, while mentoring apprentices and driving continuous improvement on site.

Responsabilités

• Manage and coordinate the daily work programme for site personnel.
• Deliver daily briefings, toolbox talks and safety communications (POWRA).
• Supervise site teams, ensuring compliance with RAMS, safety, and client requirements.
• Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available to maintain productivity.
• Control and monitor site deliveries and report conditions.
• Supervise construction, maintenance, fitting, wiring, and installation activities for substations.
• Verify compliance with RAMS, lifting plans, drawings and specifications.
• Manage permits to work and access limitations with authorities.
• Conduct pre-work safety inspections and promote a strong safety culture.
• Liaise with engineering, design, quality and safety teams to resolve issues.
• Support Construction Manager in QA and ITP documentation.
• Maintain project documentation including drawings, records and site-controlled docs.
• Chair site progress meetings and prepare minutes/reports.
• Monitor progress and provide regular updates to management/clients.
• Investigate accidents, hazards, near misses and safety observations.
• Mentor apprentices and junior team members; support development.
• Develop technical competence and maintain required trainings/certifications.

Mission

• Manage and coordinate the daily work programme for site personnel, ensuring activities are executed safely, efficiently, and according to project schedules.
• Deliver daily briefings, toolbox talks, Point of Work Risk Assessments (POWRA), and other site safety communications.
• Take responsibility for supervising teams on site, ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Ensure all required materials, tools, and equipment are available to maintain productivity and avoid work delays.
• Control and monitor site deliveries, ensuring materials are received in good condition and accurately reported.
• Supervise construction, maintenance, fitting, wiring, and installation activities related to substation plant and equipment.
• Verify that all site activities comply with RAMS, lifting plans, technical drawings, specifications, and client requirements.
• Manage permits to work and access limitations in coordination with relevant authorities and stakeholders.
• Conduct pre-work safety inspections and proactively promote a strong safety culture across the site.
• Liaise with engineering, design, quality, and safety teams to resolve technical and operational issues.
• Support the Construction Manager in quality assurance activities, maintaining and completing Inspection & Test Plan (ITP) documentation.
• Ensure project documentation is properly managed, including drawings, records, and site-controlled documents.
• Chair site progress meetings with clients and prepare accurate meeting minutes and reports.
• Monitor progress, prepare job reports, and provide regular updates to management and clients.
• Investigate, report, and record accidents, hazards, near misses, and safety observations in accordance with company procedures.
• Lead by example in safety leadership, encouraging hazard identification, positive interventions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure machinery, equipment, vehicles, and plant are operated safely and in accordance with procedures, training, and manufacturer guidelines.
• Mentor apprentices and junior team members, supporting their technical development and training objectives.
• Continuously develop technical competence and maintain required certifications and training.

Profile

• Previous experience in substation construction, maintenance, electrical installation, battery parks or related infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements within construction or energy projects.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, RAMS, lifting plans, and other project documentation.
• Experience supervising site teams and coordinating daily work activities.
• Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage resources and materials effectively.
• Knowledge of document control processes and drawing management.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, site teams, and project stakeholders.
• Good computer and tablet literacy for reporting, documentation, and project management activities.
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
• A valid driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
• A proactive mindset focused on safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
