Job summary

Vivid Resourcing Ltd is seeking an Electrical Quality Engineer for a contract-based role in Belgium (Overijse, Flemish Brabant). Responsibilities

About the role

Our client, an organisation based in Overijse, needs an Electrical Quality Engineer on a contract basis. You’ll make sure electrical equipment, systems and installations meet the required quality standards, technical specifications and regulations, from early review through to final acceptance.

The role sits between engineering, production, suppliers and project teams. You’ll review technical documentation, carry out and witness inspections and tests, handle non-conformances and drive corrective actions to closure. You’ll help prevent quality issues as well as fix them, by tightening processes, inspection plans and documentation so problems are caught early.

The position is based in Belgium, in the province of Flemish Brabant, within easy reach of Brussels and Leuven. It suits an engineer who combines solid electrical knowledge with a structured, quality-focused approach and can communicate clearly with technical and non-technical colleagues. Start date, duration and working pattern will be confirmed with candidates.

Requirements

Essential

• Background in electrical engineering, through education or relevant work experience
• Experience in a quality engineering, quality control or inspection role involving electrical systems or equipment
• Able to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation
• Experience handling non-conformances, root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Structured, accurate and detail-focused way of working
• Good communication skills and comfortable working with colleagues across disciplines
• Able to work from Belgium

Desirable

• Familiarity with relevant electrical and quality standards, such as IEC standards or ISO 9001
• Experience with factory and site acceptance testing
• Experience in supplier quality or audit activities
• Experience in an industrial, energy or manufacturing environment
