Zusammenfassung

Westelec, an ATS Group subsidiary, is seeking an Electrical Service Technician to maintain, repair and optimize electrical systems at customer sites in West Flanders. You will diagnose faults, perform repairs and participate in on-call rotations with compensation for after-hours work. Travel to various client locations is required.

You bring a relevant degree or equivalent experience, strong electrical skills, and a service-minded attitude. Dutch fluency is required; French is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Degree or equivalent experience in industrial electrical engineering or electromechanics.
• Experience as service/maintenance technician or electrician.
• Strong technical insight with solution-oriented approach.
• Independent, responsible and customer-oriented.
• Willingness to travel to client sites and participate in on-call rotation.
• Fluent Dutch; knowledge of French is a plus.
• Valid driver's license B.

Electrical Engineering Service Technician

We are hiring an electrical service technician for our subsidiary, Westelec, in Ypres.

Function

Are you a motivated technician with a passion for electricity and troubleshooting? If so, you might be the service technician we’re looking for to join our team at Westelec.

As an Electrical Service Technician, you are responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing electrical systems at our customers’ sites. You diagnose malfunctions, perform repairs, and ensure that systems continue to operate safely and reliably. You work both independently and as part of a team on various industrial and service sector projects.

In addition, you’ll participate in an on-call system, through which you and your colleagues will be responsible for responding to urgent calls both during and outside normal working hours. You’ll, of course, receive appropriate compensation for this.

Your duties and responsibilities:

• Troubleshooting and analyzing electrical faults.
• Performing repairs on electrical systems, with a focus on lighting, distribution panels, and control circuits.
• Preventive maintenance of existing systems.
• Testing and commissioning new or modified systems.
• Reading and interpreting electrical diagrams and technical drawings.
• Conducting interventions as part of on-call duty.
• Reporting on work performed and advising clients on potential improvements.

• Representing Westelec in a professional and customer-focused manner.

Profile

• You have a degree in industrial electrical engineering, electromechanics, or equivalent experience.
• You have relevant experience as a service technician, maintenance technician, or electrician.
• You have strong technical insight and take a solution-oriented approach to your work.
• You are independent, responsible, and customer-oriented.
• You can systematically analyze and efficiently resolve malfunctions.
• You are flexible and willing to travel to different clients and projects.
• You are willing to participate in a rotation system for on-call duty.
• You communicate fluently in Dutch. Knowledge of French is a plus.
• You are in possession of a driver's license B.
