Catalay, based in Belgium, seeks a Trilingual Technical Lead (NL-FR-EN) to strengthen a growing French-speaking technical team. You will work on protection and automation for electrical networks, spanning defined projects from solution design to commissioning across Flanders.

We are looking for a Trilingual (NL-FR-EN) Technical Lead specialised in protection and automation for electrical networks, to strengthen a growing French-speaking technical team, active on medium and high-voltage projects in Belgium. You follow projects located primarily in Flanders across their full lifecycle, from technical solution definition through to commissioning.

Your responsibilities

• Translate customer specifications into technical architectures for protection and automation systems.
• Design solutions for medium and high-voltage substations.
• Coordinate internal technical experts and CAD designers to ensure consistency between engineering, testing and commissioning.
• Prepare technical proposals, cost estimates and engineering documentation for protection and automation projects.
• Provide technical follow-up from presales through to commissioning, including FAT/SAT activities.
• Act as the technical interface with the customer and manage internal and external stakeholders throughout the project.

Your profile

• Engineering degree in electrical engineering, electromechanics or automation.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in medium and high-voltage protection and automation.
• Working proficiency in Dutch and French, professional English.
• Demonstrated ability to translate customer requirements into concrete technical solutions, solution architect-oriented profile.
• Strong professional relationship skills and experience managing stakeholders, including CAD designers, technical experts, project managers and customers.
