Business and Engineering Solutions (BES) is seeking a Powertrain Software Control engineer to join our BEV data analytics team. You will analyze real-world vehicle data to improve energy consumption, range prediction and smart charging strategies.

You will develop data pipelines, investigate SOC prediction errors, work with Python and MATLAB, and collaborate with international engineers. Fluency in English and a hands-on, analytical mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Energy, Automotive Engineering or a related technical field
• 2–5 years of professional experience in automotive, energy or engineering environment
• Experience with BEVs, powertrain, battery systems, energy management or EV charging
• Strong data analysis and data processing skills
• Solid experience with Python; MATLAB is highly appreciated

Responsabilités

• Analyse large volumes of vehicle and cloud data to understand BEV energy consumption, range and charging behaviour
• Develop, improve and maintain data pipelines for processing and analysing vehicle data
• Investigate root causes of range and SOC prediction errors and identify factors affecting energy consumption
• Analyse factors such as driving speed, climate/HVAC consumption, energy models and auxiliary losses
• Analyse customer driving and charging behaviour and define relevant customer profiles and use cases
• Support activities related to smart charging (V1G) and Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G)
• Use Python and MATLAB for data processing, engineering analysis and simulation
• Contribute to improving robustness, quality and efficiency of data analysis processes
• Summarize and present complex technical findings in a clear and visual way
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders within international teams

For one of our clients, we are looking for an engineer to join the Powertrain Software Control team and contribute to the development of innovative solutions for Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs).

The project focuses on analysing real-world vehicle data to improve energy consumption and range prediction, battery State of Charge (SOC) prediction and smart charging strategies, including V1G and V2G applications.

Your Responsabilities:

• Analyse large volumes of vehicle and cloud data to understand BEV energy consumption, range and charging behaviour.
• Develop, improve and maintain data pipelines for processing and analysing vehicle data.
• Investigate the root causes of range and SOC prediction errors and identify the main factors affecting energy consumption.
• Analyse factors such as driving speed, climate/HVAC consumption, vehicle energy models and powertrain auxiliary losses.
• Analyse customer driving and charging behaviour and define relevant customer profiles and use cases.
• Support activities related to smart charging (V1G) and Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G).
• Use Python and MATLAB for data processing, engineering analysis and simulation.

Your Profile:

• You hold a Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Energy, Automotive Engineering or a related technical field.
• You have approximately 2–5 years of professional experience, ideally in an automotive, energy or engineering environment.
• You have experience with Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs), powertrain, battery systems, energy management, EV charging or a related field.
• You have strong skills in data analysis and data processing, ideally involving large datasets.
• You have solid experience with Python.
• Experience with MATLAB is highly appreciated.
• Knowledge of Dataiku and/or Snowflake is a plus.
• Knowledge of smart charging, V1G, V2G or EV charging is an advantage.
• You are comfortable working independently while also collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• You have a hands-on and analytical mindset and enjoy solving complex technical problems.
• You are able to communicate and present complex technical information in a clear and understandable way.
• You have excellent written and spoken English skills.
