Jefferson Wells Belgium is seeking a Software Engineer to join an R&D team developing propulsion systems for commercial mobility. You will contribute to software development, simulation, validation and system integration.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in Engineering, 5–8 years in software engineering, and strong MATLAB/Simulink expertise. English proficiency and a proactive, autonomous mindset are essential; automotive or powertrain experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 5–8 years of experience in Software Engineering.
• Experience in Automation and/or Control Systems.
• Strong knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink.
• Experience in simulation, testing, validation and data analysis.
• Fluent English; autonomous and proactive mindset.

For one of our clients, a major player in advanced mobility solutions, we are looking for a Software Engineer to join an R&D team developing next-generation propulsion systems for commercial mobility applications. You will be involved in software development, simulation, validation, and system integration activities.

Your Mission

• Develop and improve software functionalities and control strategies.
• Support system calibration, tuning, and integration activities.
• Develop and maintain models using Matlab/Simulink.
• Execute simulations and analyze system performance.
• Prepare and perform testing and validation activities.
• Analyze test results and prepare technical reports.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Your Profile

• Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5 to 8 years of experience in Software Engineering.
• Experience in Automation and/or Control Systems.
• Strong knowledge of Matlab & Simulink.
• Experience in simulation, testing, validation, and data analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Professional proficiency in English.
• Autonomous, proactive, and eager to learn.

Assets:

• Automotive industry experience.
• Embedded Software, Calibration, Validation, or Systems Engineering experience.
• Knowledge of Model-Based Development (MBD).
• Experience with Powertrain, EV, Hybrid Vehicle, Fuel Cell, or Hydrogen technologies.
