BES is recruiting for a client— a leading healthcare and high-tech engineering company— for an Automation & Control Systems Engineer role. You will design, implement and support industrial control systems, including PLCs/Safety PLCs, SCADA, and documentation, in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities include developing software from requirements, testing, deploying on-site and in factory, and collaborating within a Quality Management System.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Automation or related field; 4–5+ years in industrial automation.
• Strong PLC programming experience with Siemens S7-400/S7-1500 and S7-1500 Safety.
• Experience with Safety PLCs and industrial safety systems.
• Experience with SCADA systems like Wonderware InTouch or Siemens WinCC.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking; Kepware is a plus.
• Experience in projects governed by a structured Quality Management System; regulated environment.
• Fluent in French and good command of English.

BES is recruiting for one of its clients, a leading company in the healthcare and high-tech engineering sector, for an Automation & Control Systems Engineer role. You will be responsible for the development, implementation, testing and support of control system solutions in a highly regulated and quality-driven environment.

Your Responsabilities:

• Design, develop, implement and support industrial control system solutions, ensuring their quality and reliability.
• Develop software solutions based on business and technical requirements, while challenging existing approaches when relevant.
• Program and maintain PLCs and Safety PLCs, particularly Siemens S7 systems.
• Develop and maintain SCADA/supervision systems, including Wonderware InTouch and Siemens WinCC.
• Write, execute and maintain unit and integration test cases to ensure the robustness of control system solutions.
• Deploy, upgrade and troubleshoot control systems both on-site and in the factory.
• Work with industrial communication protocols such as PROFIBUS, PROFINET, S7 communication and PROFISAFE.
• Produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical support to internal and external customers and contribute to effective problem-solving.
• Review technical solutions and deliverables produced by other team members and propose improvements.
• Share your expertise with the team and contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering practices and methodologies.
• Estimate workload and timelines, and ensure commitments are met within the project schedule.
• Follow the company's quality processes and best practices, while proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and various stakeholders in a structured Quality Management System environment.
• Travel internationally for short missions, approximately 20% of the time.

Your Profile:

• Master's degree in Automation, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a Bachelor's degree in Automation with equivalent experience.
• 4–5+ years of professional experience in industrial automation, including development and technical support.
• Strong experience in PLC programming, particularly Siemens S7-400/S7-1500 and/or S7-1500 Safety.
• Experience with Safety PLCs and industrial safety systems.
• Good knowledge of Siemens automation systems, including STEP 7 and TIA Portal.
• Experience with SCADA/supervision systems, ideally Wonderware InTouch (AVEVA) and/or Siemens WinCC.
• Good understanding of industrial communication protocols: PROFIBUS, PROFINET, S7 communication and PROFISAFE.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking; experience with Kepware is a plus.
• Experience working in projects governed by a structured Quality Management System, ideally in a highly regulated environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a pragmatic and results-oriented approach.
• Able to understand customer needs and deliver efficient, reliable and practical technical solutions.
• Strong technical writing skills and ability to produce clear, high-quality documentation.
• Autonomous, proactive and able to take ownership of technical topics.
• Team player with good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Fluent in French and good command of English.
• Willing to travel internationally for short assignments, approximately 20% of the time.
• Curious and motivated to learn new technologies, tools and software development methodologies.
