Job summary

Biocair in Mechelen is seeking a Driver to join the Transport & Warehouse team. You will be responsible for collecting, packing and transporting temperature-controlled shipments, ensuring on-time delivery and compliance with quality standards.

The role requires a full clean driving licence, commercial van driving experience, and strong Dutch and English communication. On-site work with patient, detail-oriented execution and a focus on service excellence.

Qualifications

• Full, clean driving licence is required.
• Commercial van driving experience is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English are essential.
• Excellent customer service skills and professional approach to interactions.
• Experience in transport and/or warehouse environments is desirable.
• Ability to work under time pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy, with intermediate MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Collect and deliver customer shipments in a safe, professional and timely manner.
• Act as the face of Biocair and provide exceptional customer service during all interactions.
• Prepare and package specialist temperature-controlled shipments according to procedures.
• Re-pack and re-ice consignments as required.
• Ensure shipment documentation is accurate and accompanies consignments correctly.
• Comply with regulations on transportation, labelling and packaging of hazardous substances.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment.
• Monitor fridge, freezer and warm room temperatures; keep logs accurate.

At Biocair, our specialist temperature-controlled logistics solutions support pharmaceutical, biotech, research and healthcare organisations around the world.

We are looking for a Driver to join our Transport & Warehouse team in Mechelen. This role is responsible for collecting, packing and transporting research samples, clinical trial medicines and other pharmaceutical and healthcare products that are often time-critical and temperature sensitive.

Reporting to the Transport & Warehouse Supervisor, you will play an important role in ensuring shipments are collected, prepared and delivered safely, accurately and on time. As a key customer-facing representative of Biocair, you will help deliver the high standards of care, expertise and precision that our customers rely on every day.

Role Responsibilities Overview

You will be responsible for the collection, preparation, packing and delivery of specialist temperature-controlled consignments while ensuring all procedures, regulations and quality requirements are followed.

• collect and deliver customer shipments in a safe, professional and timely manner;
• act as the face of Biocair and provide exceptional customer service during all customer interactions;
• prepare and package specialist temperature-controlled shipments in line with company procedures;
• re-pack and re-ice consignments where required;
• ensure shipment documentation is completed accurately and accompanies consignments correctly;
• comply with regulations relating to the transportation, labelling and packaging of hazardous substances;
• maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment;
• monitor and record fridge, freezer and warm room temperatures accurately;
• maintain storage logs and warehouse records with a high degree of accuracy;
• monitor packaging stock levels and report shortages promptly;
• carry out daily and weekly vehicle inspections and maintenance checks;
• maintain vehicles to a high standard of cleanliness, both internally and externally;
• report vehicle defects or faults immediately and complete all required documentation;
• build positive working relationships with colleagues, customers and external partners;
• support continuous improvement activities and help resolve operational challenges;
• participate in team meetings and development discussions; and
• comply with all applicable security, health and safety, shipment and information security procedures

What You’ll Bring

• a full, clean driving licence;
• commercial van driving experience;

• experience working in a transport and/or warehouse environment;
