Job summary

Elia Group in Brussels is seeking a strategic Domain Architect to lead corporate IT and AI domain architecture across the enterprise. You will define the architecture vision, roadmaps and governance, ensuring secure, scalable and future‑proof solutions while collaborating with business and IT stakeholders across functions.

You will drive architecture reviews, manage risk and compliance, and partner with data and platform architects to enable seamless integration and value realization.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of IT architecture, enterprise architecture or digital transformation roles.
• Proven experience designing and governing complex IT landscapes in large-scale organizations.
• Strong knowledge of architecture frameworks and modelling standards such as TOGAF and ArchiMate.
• Hands-on experience with Domain‑Driven Design, Event Storming and Agile Architecture.
• Solid understanding of Corporate domains such as HR, Finance, Procurement and Corporate Services.
• Ability to engage and influence stakeholders ranging from executive leadership to technical delivery teams.
• Experience balancing business value, cost, risk, security and sustainability in architectural decision‑making.
• Strong knowledge of AI architectures, governance and emerging technologies, including Generative AI, Agentic AI, RAG and Machine Learning.
• Fluent in Dutch or French, with professional level English; knowledge of the other national language is an asset.

Elia Group is seeking a high-impact Domain Architect to join our Central IT Architecture team.

As a Domain IT Architect, your mission is to ensure your domain(s) IT landscape is coherent, secure, operable, and future‑proof, enabling safe and reliable grid operations while aligning with Elia Group’s strategy and regulatory obligations.

In this role, you will take ownership of two key domains

• Corporate, a broad business domain encompassing the enterprise’s corporate capabilities and supporting functions.
• Artificial Intelligence, a strategic technology domain focused on advancing and governing AI capabilities across the organization.
