World Food Programme (WFP) in Brussels seeks a senior Director, WFP Team Europe Lead (D2) to spearhead engagement with EU authorities, the European Parliament, and member states. This role leads WFP’s Brussels Office and coordinates a network of European offices to advance food security and humanitarian policy.

The incumbent will mobilize resources, advocate for WFP strategies, and lead a high-performing, diverse team in a complex political environment to strengthen partnerships across Europe.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of senior-level partnerships, fundraising, and advocacy experience.
• International experience and a track record engaging EU authorities and member states.
• Proven ability to lead multicultural teams and complex partnerships.
• Strong understanding of EU and European Commission strategies and priorities.
• Experience in resource mobilization and policy advocacy at a high level.

Responsabilités

• Lead engagement with EU authorities, European Parliament, and member states to secure support.
• Develop and implement partnership engagement strategies and cultivate key decision-makers.
• Represent WFP in international forums and share analyses to boost positioning.
• Coordinate the Brussels Office and European Global Offices across Europe.
• Oversee staff development, operations, and a safe, inclusive, high-performing work environment.
