European Climate Foundation is seeking a Senior Associate in Brussels to lead EU policy-related work within the Land Use and Food Systems Programme. You will manage cross-EU partnerships, coordinate with colleagues, and help shape programme strategy while ensuring effective engagement with funders and stakeholders.

The role requires deep expertise in land use, agriculture, and food systems, with strong research, analytical, and communication skills to design impactful, public-facing initiatives

Qualifications

• Advanced university degree in environment, climate, agronomy, economics, public policy/law or related field.
• At least 5-7 years of relevant professional experience in land use, food systems, philanthropy, or public policy.
• Experience with EU land use, agriculture and food transition policies and processes.
• Experience working with European institutions or governments.
• Demonstrated experience managing multi-stakeholder initiatives.

Responsabilités

• Lead or co-lead strategic delivery of EU-focused projects within the Land Use and Food Systems programme.
• Manage external partnerships and engage funders; represent the programme in external forums.
• Develop programme strategy, monitor policy trends, and support cross-country knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to public-facing campaigns and ensure quality of external communications outputs.
