Green Island in Belgium is seeking a hands-on DevOps / Cloud Engineer to build, operate, automate, and scale our cloud infrastructure and delivery pipelines behind our platforms.

You will collaborate with software, QA, security, and operations teams to reduce manual work, improve deployment safety, and boost observability across multi-brand environments.

Qualifications

• DevOps/Cloud Engineer with hands-on cloud experience.
• Experience with Terraform or equivalent IaC.
• Proficient in Linux networking, TLS, and cloud security basics.
• Experience with CI/CD tooling and deployment automation.

About the role

We are looking for a DevOps / Cloud Engineer to help build, operate, automate, and improve the cloud infrastructure and delivery pipelines behind our platforms.

As a DevOps / Cloud Engineer, you will work with infrastructure, software engineering, QA, security, and operations teams to make our systems easier to deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, and scale.

You will help maintain cloud environments, improve deployment automation, support production operations, strengthen observability, and reduce manual work through pragmatic automation. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving real operational problems, improving developer workflows, and keeping business-critical platforms healthy.

What you’ll do

• Build, maintain, and improve cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code.
• Support production and non-production environments across multiple brands and markets.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, release processes, and deployment automation.
• Help operate secure, reliable, and scalable cloud infrastructure.
• Improve monitoring, alerting, logging, dashboards, and operational visibility.
• Automate repetitive tasks and reduce manual operational work.
• Work with developers to improve deployment safety, service reliability, and production readiness.
• Support cloud networking, access management, secrets handling, backups, and disaster recovery processes.
• Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and follow-up improvements.
• Help manage infrastructure hygiene, cost optimization, and capacity planning.
• Document infrastructure, processes, runbooks, and operational procedures.
• Support compliance, audit, and change-management needs where infrastructure is involved.

Who you are

• Experience as a DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer, Platform Engineer, SRE, Systems Engineer, or similar.
• Hands-on experience with a major cloud provider, preferably AWS or similar.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform or equivalent tooling.
• Experience with CI/CD and deployment tools such as TeamCity, Octopus Deploy, GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar.
• Good understanding of Linux, networking, DNS, TLS, load balancing, firewalls, and cloud security basics.
• Experience with containers such as Docker, and ideally container orchestration or managed container platforms.
• Scripting or automation skills in Bash, Python, PowerShell, or similar.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as New Relic, CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana, ELK, or similar.
• Strong troubleshooting mindset and willingness to take ownership of operational issues.
• Ability to work with developers, QA, infrastructure, and business operations teams.
• Clear communication and good documentation habits.

Nice to have

• Experience in online gaming, fintech, payments, SaaS, or another high-availability digital environment.
• Experience working in regulated or audited environments.
• Experience supporting multi-brand, multi-market, or multi-environment platforms.
• Experience with blue/green deployments, canary releases, rollback strategies, or zero-downtime deployment patterns.
• Experience with cloud cost optimization and infrastructure cleanup.
• Experience with database operations, backup validation, replication, or migration support.
• Experience with security hardening, IAM, vulnerability management, or compliance controls.
• Experience with both Linux and Windows-based workloads.
• Cloud certifications are welcome but not required.
