Job summary

Datashift in Belgium is seeking a Data Strategist to shape how data and AI deliver business value. You will define the operating model, align teams and drive adoption of data-driven solutions across the client landscape.

The role requires fluency in English and Dutch, strong strategic and communication skills, and hands-on ability with data tools. You’ll lead change, design roadmaps and governance structures to ensure sustained value.

Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years of data strategy, governance or transformation experience.
• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Clear judgement on business value and potential of data & AI.
• Strong analytical, problem-structuring and communication skills.
• Proven ability to translate strategy into actionable roadmaps.
• Hands-on with data tools and credibility with technical teams.
• Fluent in English and Dutch; French is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with client stakeholders to identify business challenges for data/AI value.
• Develop an actionable data/AI strategy with a prioritised roadmap.
• Advise on evolution of reporting and data landscape enabled by AI.
• Design target data operating model: roles, governance, ownership.
• Lead adoption, workshops, and leadership syncs; report to steering committee.
• Define and shape change management to drive sustained value.
